No discounts on yarn processing.
Yarn Processing The minimum amount of fiber is 25# raw or 15# clean. The most cost effective processing for you, the customer, is at least 100# grease wool or 50# clean wool. We are capable of processing greater quantities. You must have at least 30 pounds of clean weight or more for bulky yarn. The staple length must be 2" and no longer than 6". The yarn choices available are bulky, worsted, sport and fingering weight. Please send a sample of yarn (if available) to resemble what you desire. (The heaviest bulky yarn we can make is 1-ply, 975 yards to a pound with 100% wool; 2 ply 487 yards and 3 ply 325 yards.) We strongly recommend that if your yarns are targeted for sock projects that 20 - 25% nylon be added . This will make the yarn stronger and will make the finished project more durable to wear. The additional nylon is $3.90 per pound for white and $7.50 per pound for dyed.
There are 8 steps in the yarn making process. They are washing, picking/carding, spinning/twisting, coning, skeining, and re-washing skeins. WASHING
SPINNING/TWISTING/CONING (Price is based on finished weight. It is returned to you on paper cones and apply to your choice of bulky, worsted, sport or fingering weight yarns).
4. Any finished fibers, 15 - 24# ..... $10.50 per lb.
